Palacky University

Katedra výtvarné výchovy sídlí v Olomouci v budově Uměleckého centra UP, nazývaného také Konvikt. Studenti a studentky tak vstupují do kreativního celku, který/é spojuje umělecké a uměnovědné studijní programy pedagogické a filozofické fakulty. Velkorysý prostor a zázemí katedry ideálně podporuje studentskou tvorbu, tvůrčí rozlet a nabízí vzdělávání na vysoké odborné úrovni. Katedra výtvarné výchovy otevírá studijní obory jak v bakalářském, tak magisterském a doktorském studijním programu.

Owensboro CTC

Owensboro Community & Technical College is a public, two year community and technical college accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and one of the sixteen colleges that make up the Kentucky Community &
Technical College System (KCTCS). Owensboro Community & Technical College serves the four county areas of Daviess,
Ohio, Hancock and McLean, and draws a strong base of students from Perry and Spencer counties in Indiana. Its 2009 enrollment
of more than 6,000, however, includes students from many other counties in Kentucky and Indiana who were attracted by its
Advanced Technology Center and other distinctive programs. The college values innovation focused on student learning and
economic trends.

Brecia University

​​Brescia University was founded by the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph in 1950. Its

origins are in Mount Saint Joseph Junior College for Women, established at Maple Mount,
Kentucky, in 1925. Between 1925 and 1950, coeducational extension courses in
Owensboro led to the creation of a second campus and, after 1949, consolidation of the two
campuses at the present site of Brescia University. In 1951, Brescia began operating as a
four-year College. Brescia University is a Catholic, liberal arts institution founded in the
Ursuline tradition of personal and social transformation through education. Directed to
academic and moral excellence in a student-centered environment, Brescia offers
undergraduate and graduate programs that serve students who seek success through
rewarding careers and service to others.

Olomoucký Kraj

Olomoucký kraj se rozkládá ve střední části Moravy a zasahuje i do její severní části. Jeho rozloha činí 5 267 km2. Z hlediska správního tvoří spolu se Zlínským krajem Region soudržnosti NUTS II - Střední Morava. Člení se na 5 okresů (Jeseník, Olomouc, Prostějov, Přerov a Šumperk). Území Olomouckého kraje je tvořeno 13 správními obvody obcí s rozšířenou působností (Hranice, Jeseník, Konice, Lipník nad Bečvou, Litovel, Mohelnice, Olomouc, Prostějov, Přerov, Šternberk, Šumperk, Uničov, Zábřeh). V kraji je 399 obcí. Sídelním městem je Statutární město Olomouc. Počet obyvatel Olomouckého kraje je 637 688 (k 30.9.2012).

Sister Cities

Owensboro Sister Cities and Regions encourages global understanding between our community, including Daviess County, other local communities outside of the City of Owensboro, and other world communities. The Owensboro Sister Cities and Regions Organization assists government entities with the proper reception of foreign visitors and dignitaries by serving as the community's office of protocol; pursues an ongoing mission to inform and educate our community concerning our area's international cultural and business ties and their effects on our community; initiates exchange programs in education, business, professional groups, and the arts; assists government and its agencies in promoting our community's cultural heritage through our Sister City’s relationships.
